If the criminal justice system decided to proceed against what Franken actually did, it would have gotten pled down to a minor misdemeanor at most. And that would be the correct response by law and precedent.  This is how we reward someone who gave up a life of successful minor celebrity to serve his country.

If this is what feminism demands, then fuck feminism.  You wonder if they know they've scored an 'own goal'.

I don't disagree. But as the cases of Trump and Roy Moore show, Democrats are vulnerable in this witch hunt in a way Republicans are not. Hillary Clinton campaigned on this stuff, and look what it got her. Calling this some kind of great feminist moment is seriously misguided.

If I had been Franken, I would have apologized and made whatever recompense was reasonable -- while noting that none of my behavior occurred since I was elected -- and then refused to leave until Trump was accountable for his behavior. But I am not an elected official...
