Disney Animation is closing the book on fairy tales
Once upon a time, there was a studio in Burbank that spun classic fairy tales into silver-screen gold.

But now the curtain is falling on "princess movies," which have been a part of Disney Animation's heritage since the 1937 debut of its first feature film, "Snow White." The studio's Wednesday release of "Tangled," a contemporary retelling of the Rapunzel story, will be the last fairy tale produced by Disney's animation group for the foreseeable future.

I dislike Disney. I consider them a malignant influence. They created Britney Spears and Lindsey Lohan, and made them what they are today. They made "Bambi" and thousands more talking animal cartoons, which is why there will be uneasy moments when your vegetarian relative comes home for Thanksgiving.

But frankly, I'd agree with them. The whole princess thing needs a rest. A princess at 11 becomes a bride screaming at the caterer at 26. You'd be better off giving your daughter wholesome pornography to watch.
