Had a right peculiar dream last night. It seemed to be one where I had at least partial power to voluntarily control where it was going.

The overarching story seemed to be that I was chasing Coco, my cat, through a huge shopping mall filled with other cats. The mall had dozens of stores, and each store was a portal to another dimension of reality. I remembered that there was even a Star Trek style "scientific explanation" for the variations behind each store; in each one, the laws of physics were supposed to be subtly different from the next.

Each store opened up a separate parallel universe. While I looked through each universe, I checked out its variations on superhero comics (typical for me) as well as The Simpsons characters (unusual for me). There was one universe in which three dimensional superheroes were engaged in a conflict with two dimensional ones.

The most curious aspect of the dream was that it seemed to me that I was able to choose between interesting and boring universes, and choose to move on to the next offered experience in the overarching narrative.
