That's Kentucky for you

David Karem, commissioner of the Waterfront Development Corp., which runs the Waterfront plaza park for the City of Louisville/Jefferson County unigov, wants to keep bathers out of the fountains in the plaza. The water contains E. coli bacteria and other such bugs; it isn't chlorinated for public bathing. But that might give tourists the creeps. So, instead, he has this warning posted at public expense:

Holy dihydrogen monoxide, Batman! The Louisville Courier-Journal officiously complains that the "Waterfront Development Corp. believes it necessary to treat Louisvillians as fools". Myself, I'm taking my petition drive to abolish the suffrage of women there next.
