During the sixteenth through the eighteenth centuries, mostly anonymous Native American artists from South America, schooled in the art of oil painting by the Roman Catholic Church, produced some amazing images that came to be known as the Cuzco School. They painted religious subjects almost exclusively. I find these deliciously surreal.

I've recently added a large collection of public domain, true two-bit black and white engravings of buildings and scenes from the ancient world to Sword and Sandal, a DeviantArt group I started about a year ago, devoted to Italian gladiator and mythology films from the 1960s. All of the images are at least 5000px to one side.
